Major Professional Interests
 
Her research focuses on artistic culture in 15th and 16th century Renaissance Art.
She has published papers in italian and international Journals on the Italian Renaissance Courts (Urbino, Mantova, Rimini, Ferrara, Rome), paying specific attention to the places of memory , as ‘studiolo’ and galleries, and to collections. She has been the curator for an exhibition concerning mythological paintings in collections in Rome and she has published a book on mythological decoration in italian Renaissance. The project ICONOS, on-line database, dedicated to the Metamorphosis by Ovid (www.iconos.it) which collects textual sources and iconographic references.
Her research on the artistic culture of the Renaissance Art focuses her  theoretical approach  with reference to the historiography and current debate in the criticism.
The theoretical research is dedicated to the iconological tradition in Europe and the United States, especially to Aby Warburg’s thought  and his survival today.
